Integration of women and girls of the Roma minority in the public life of Odesa region

Our foundation provides the following services to representatives of the Roma minority:

  • Humanitarian aid: food, hygiene kits, dignity kits for women, clothes, medicines, household appliances
  • Psychological assistance: individual consultations of psychologists
  • Medical assistance: examination by the foundation's doctor, examination by a gynecologist-mammologist, laboratory diagnostics
  • Social assistance: assessment of condition and needs, referral to relevant authoroties and preparation of documents for this purpose
  • Legal assistance: consultation with the fund's lawyer, legal support during employment
  • Placement for temporary residence of women and children who witnessed or were victims of gender-based violence or were in social isolation for a long time
  • Children's center for younger children
  • Support program for female farmers
  • Consultations of a business expert for starting your own business
  • Sewing skills courses
  • The activity of the "Petalenca" public center in Odesa also takes place within the project. It is a space for communication, educational programs and consultations by various specialists for women and girls of the Roma minority. The center also has a Children's room and mutual aid groups for women from vulnerable groups. In addition, a number of courses are held at the center:

  • Course of basic knowledge (general literacy) in writing, reading, geography, anatomy, history, cultural studies
  • Courses on the development of soft skills (cognitive, social-behavioral)
  • Informing women of the Roma minority about their rights and opportunities
  • In addition, as part of the project, there are trips to remote communities in order to attract women and girls of the Roma minority to the center, to inform them about its activities and opportunities and to distribute informational materials and provision of consultations by specialists
